• BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
When shortstop Michael Young hit his 20th home run last week in Oakland, he became the fourth Rangers infielder to reach the 20-homer mark this season, joining first baseman Mark Teixeira, second baseman Alfonso Soriano and third baseman Hank Blalock. Only one other team in major league history has had four infielders hit 20 homers in the same season: the 1940 Red Sox. Name that infield.
• Answer: 1B Jimmie Foxx (36 homers), 2B Bobby Doerr (22), 3B Jim Tabor (21) and SS Joe Cronin (24).
